Thursday 7:00-8:10 pm
Unwind and Relax… Gentle Yoga & Meditation. Come join us to relieve stress and tension. Heal from stiffness, pain or injury. Learn to let go of stress, recharge your energy, and deeply relax through very gentle, restorative yoga stretches, pranyama (relaxing breath practices), and guided meditation. Class is for both beginners, experienced yogis, and anyone else who would like to slow your rhythm down to the natural flow of your heart, and listen carefully to the needs and intelligence of your body. In this gentle yoga practice, movements are synchronized with the breath, turning rigidity into fluidity. We do not hold poses; we "go with the flow." We will however, take periodic breaks where we rest in a passive pose (asana) as the emphasis in this class is on de-stressing the body and mind. Gentle yoga is very therapeutic in nature and is appropriate for "every-body" even those with limited physical abilities. This class will leave your mind, body and spirit feeling relaxed and receptive. Bring a yoga mat, blanket, a round cushy pillow for meditation.
